I just ordered:

Attrition : The Attrition of Reason (1984)

I don't have it yet; it's coming in the mail. I don't have anything by this group, and I've never heard anyone talk about them. The sound samples on Amazon sounded really cool though, like goth-synth-experimental-industrial. If you've ever heard this album, let me know.

Chocolate and Cheese is definitely a good Ween purchase. Most Ween fans recommend that one and The Mollusk. Pure Guava is my personal favorite. It's divine.

Chocolate and Cheese is the say all, end all Ween release...a desert island pick for sure!

I have 2 attrition albums...

"this death house" and "in the realms of ghosts" or something like that...I like the first one though, not too fond of the latter.

if you like this release, check out www.projekt.com, you may be able to get both of these for 3.98 a piece, that's how much I paid.

I've had the prefuse, but only in mp3 format and since there were so many songs, I had to get the original.

Rip Off Artist is interesting, mixes a lot of house, idm, and techno elements to create some nice compositions, even hear a tad of hip hop from time to time...this one was also broken up into 69 segments, so mp3 is worthless...

and his name catagorizes what he does...

Pump "aerosmith album"
Pet Sounds "beach boys"
The Kids are Alright "The Who"
In Through the Out Door "Led Zeppelin"

must be all of his influences

Thumbs up

Thought Industry - "Mods Carve The Pig: Assassins, Toads, And God's Flesh"
Thought Industry - "Songs For Insects"

I don't know why it took so long for me to get into them...sounds sort of like Candlebox meets Mr. Bungle...nice stuff.
