I've found it easy to end business with them.
The only thing that's a pain in the ass is that you have to remember to return this card declining the selection of the month or else they'll send you something you don't want.
But, you can get out of that. All you have to do is call accounts (or something) and tell them that you want to be exempt from having to return the card. You may have to lie and tell them that when you joined in the past, you were exempt. (For a few years, they didn't send the card.)
Overall, you save money, but you're locked into what they have available. It's slim pickings for people with generally non-mainstream taste, but you can find good stuff if you mine their website, like I do.
The way it's going to work out for me, I'm getting 15 CDs free and I only have to buy 4 over the course of 2 years.
