Everything by Fantomas is great. The Directors Cut is probably where you want to start.

Pretty much, they are different but chances are you'll like them. Fantomas lacks alot of the fusions of other genres in their music (or at least most of their music does). On the other hand, Fantomas has Dave Lombardo's drumming and Buzz Osborne's guitar. There is still plenty of experimentalism there also. Fantomas also tends to change quite a bit from album to album. For instance, The Directors Cut is pretty much experimental metal, although not very harsh. That album is their versions of themes from movies. Delirium Cordia on the other hand is one 74 minute track that evokes the atmosphere of a hospital. That piece could easily be called ambient. It's hard to pidgeon hole Fantomas, but I think you'll probably like them if you are diggin Mr. Bungle.

Personally I don't like most of Plant's solo work. I do like this album though.

Sorry it took me a while to respond. Haven't been paying attention lately.
