I was crushed Of all the stuff taken - the cd's, vinyl and photos were the biggest loss - especially with no house insurance (i know!)

In the process of replacing my entire collection with the exception of about 100 ish cd's that they obvioulsy didn't get time to snatch. The bastards managed to leave a Kajagoogoo LP that I would have been only too pleased to give them!

If anyone happens to have any spare/unwanted/decent cd's or vinyl laying about that needs a good home... no?...oh well, was worth a try

I suggest that, in the future, you make back-up copies and store them in a hidden location / security box, etc. so it won't happen again.

Good suggestion. I had lots saved on my hard-drive. Guess what else they took...

This week I'll be replacing the rest of my Radiohead collection and I'm missing Iron And Wine (Our Endess Numbered Days) terribly, but it's apparantly on it's way

The thread is apparently two days dead, but whatever. I need to start posting more.

I recently picked up Mission of Burma's "Signals, calls, and marches," which is bloody amazing, and also just got Mudvayne's newest "Lost and Found," which I think is fucking terrible in comparison to their first two major label releases.

Also the Zutons' newest, and the Kaiser Chiefs, on impulse.

I bought the new Eels (Blinking Lights) and the new Ben Folds (Songs for Silverman) today.

The former is awesome - probably the best since Eels second CD (Electro-Shock Blues). The Ben folds CD is fairly disapointing. One for two isn't bad. Eels is my favorite anyhow.

it is, isn't it? have you got Vs.? it's less "immediate" as Signals..., but it's very good nonetheless... I haven't heard everything of the new record, but I don't think it can be as good as those two records
