hey Bora, I picked up St. Etienne's Finesterre last weekend. I only got through 9 tracks so far. my favorite track so far is Soft like Me. damn catchy. the rest is okay, but a bit bland. Good Humor is definitely better because I dug the whole album upon first listen. I, then, bought few more for Xmas presents.

last album i got was the high llama's 'retrospective... rarities... and instrumentals'... it's a 2 disc set... the first disc is the retrospective... it's pretty good... interesting indie pop in the same lines as stereolab... the 2nd disc is by far my favorite... it's mostly instrumentals (only 2 or 3 vocals tracks if i remember right) the instrumentals are quite good too... very mellow almost sounding like indie rock dub at times with the crazy amount of delay on everything... it's good sleep music...

*Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers--"The Last DJ"
*"The Best Of King's X"
*"Black Like Sunday"--also by King's X
*Sixpence None The Richer's "Divine Discontent"
*"No You - No Me" by Ceili Rain (a Celtic rock band from Nashville...I'm serious)
*Fleetwood Mac's "Say You Will" (easily their best album since "Tusk"--if you've ever liked this band, you oughta get this one)
*Liszt: Symphonic Poems (Complete)--5 CD box set from Brilliant Classics...not rock, but great music nonetheless...

the accent of icelandic words falls in almost all cases on the first syllable. the exceptions are

1.words that have the negative prefix "ó-" meaning "un-" as in "unwilling" eg óhreinindi
2.words that have the prefix "all-" meaning "rather" or "very" eg allfeginn

in these two cases, the accent falls equally on the first two syllables or mainly on the second syllable.
