I agree the ummagumma version is better. I think the saucerful of secrets and careful with that axe versions are better as well.

We often see eye to eye (or hear ear to ear), but every once in awhile our tastes are much different... Those two are among my least favorite Floyd tunes... "Welcome to The Machine" sounds so very dated to me... I just don't feel it has aged well...
