Are Squarepusher & Aphex Twin your cup of tea ?

yes, I like their stuff. but they have songs that just make you want to get up and jump around.
but Funckarma's Solid State couldn't make me jump  I guess I will have to be in the right mood for that kinda softer IDM.

you think Funckarma sounds like them? I highly big to differ, i'd give them more of a glitchy, hip hoppish Autechre

I could be wrong but I think funckarma's solid state sounds like early warp releases back in the early to mid 90's.
funckarma doesn't sound anywhere near squarepusher, a bit close to aphex, but still not quite close enough. it seems that album lack the energy of those two guys, at least for me.

yeah, I think allmusic said that if this came out in the mid90's, it would have most surely been a classic, but I just love the orchestrations, and none of them had the "jazzy" type swing feel that some of the album has. Sure it has some of the same glitchy IDM sounds from the day, but I think its uniquely programmed in its own right...
