Thats an interesting arguement that i cant totally disagree with but i think it was Jimmy Page that brought they to the next level of rock and roll. Plant and Page worked together perfectly creating the best classic rock of all time.

the accent of icelandic words falls in almost all cases on the first syllable. the exceptions are
1.words that have the negative prefix "ó-" meaning "un-" as in "unwilling" eg óhreinindi
2.words that have the prefix "all-" meaning "rather" or "very" eg allfeginn
in these two cases, the accent falls equally on the first two syllables or mainly on the second syllable.
I went with Plant with Morrison a close second... Plant had a great presence and a unique and interesting voice (quite different than anyone else when he first hit the scene) but he is among the most influencial frontmen of all time as a whole genre of followers tried to sound and look like him (this may not be such a good thing though as 90% of the followers were really weak)...
