Me too,, I hate that tune...
I like both of these guys equally, but there are some Billy Joel songs I just can't stand...

Yeah, fast Billy is not always to my taste. Everytime I hear 'Uptown Girl' I have Christy Brinkley flashbacks, which isn't a bad thing, but it doesn't make the song any less cheesy.
I think when it comes to the faster paced stuff Elton gets the nod, but for slower songs these guys are on par with each other.

I guess I like them both. But I have to give the nod to Billy Joel. He has better written songs in my opinion.
And yes, I too hate We didnt start the fire.

I like them both, but I really dig Elton's early stuff, especially his Tumbleweed Connection album.

I would say that Billy has hundreds of thousands of fans who would say you are wrong, Sandra.

So what if he is fat and old? What does physical features have to do with what is inside? Absolutely nothing.
I wonder how you will feel when you become fat and old, and some ignorant pup judges you on how you look.

What about Elvis? He got fat and ugly but does that mean his music is bad? Ok...his music may be bad for some but it's not because he got fat and ugly!
By the way, I've seen a few of Sandra's posts around...they are very peculiar.
