i always had problems trying to figure out that damn program...I got a PC version before they switched to primarily Macs and I was never able to get it down...sure its a great, diverse music program, but its not very user friendly for us amateurs

well, i've known quite a few people that have used Reason 2.0 (I think that's the newest version), Reaktor 3.0, and Cubase
so just check a few of these out....

Hi Hugo,
(I'm making my first contacts with emagic logic, and i would like to know how to turn the emagic song files to wave files)
You have to bounce them.
select the file you want to export as a wav and press S on your keyboard (solo command) then look at the right bottom of the master channel in Logic tracks mixer; you'll see a small button called "bnce" that's what you have to do.
A dialog window appears where you can choose parameters for your file and then click ok.
Save your file wherever you want.
hope this helps.

How do i convert the MIDI sequences to Audio files so that they can be included in the final Bounce?
The Audio Instruments (AU plug ins) and audio tracks work fine in the Bounce, but the Midi is not recorded,
It states in the getting started manual " If your song contains MIDI Sequences (i am using the intenal quicktime synth) that you would like to include in your final mix, simply record them as you would any audio source. Once recorded as an audio file, you are free to insert effects, or perform any opther process available for audio files and regions in Logic".
I know how to record any other audio source, but i just cant figure this out how to record a midi sequence to an audio file and i cant find anything in the book.
I am also quite new to this and using a mac os x with Logic 6 if thats any help...
Thanks for your help!

Record the midi into the PC as audio, then it will be in the final bounce. The bounce only takes audio and sounds created within the PC.
Go to one of the audio tracks, make it stereo, plug your audio outs from your keyboard into your audio in, make sure the audio is set to record from that input. Click on the REC button and watch it flash, then press record and you should be there.
