Hey, someone else in this world listens to Frusciante's solo stuff. Ramparts is an amazing song off that CD.

I'll agree that By the Way wasn't that great. I've been a Chili Peppers fan forever but I passed on that album. Can't Stop was an ok song but lots of the other stuff is just a little too mellow.

Why did you post in Blues/Funk/R&B? Whatever, yeah, they rock, not as good as they used to be but I resect them for their originality, but I have one complaint, why did Flea sell out to picks?

more like their first 5 albums were VERY much funk rock (less funky on the 6th)... and while their last 2 discs have been less thank funky... their early work is most definately funk... seriously... would george clinton help produce an album that wasn't funk??? i don't think so...

I've heard BTW too and that's just boring imho.
Frusciante and Flea together are just amazing. Check Frusciantes solo-albums if you like some experimental guitar music. Murderers is just pure bliss!

I've always been interested in getting into Frusciante's solo stuff but never knew exactly where to start. I'll start with Murderers, anything else that I should look at?

How is his new album btw?
