Enhanced CDs
You know those "enhanced" CD's that have all that extra stuff when you play it on your computer?
Well I just want Winamp to play the songs on the CD. No extra stuff, just the songs, and I can't get Winamp to do it.
I can get the standard CD player to do it, but I want to get Winamp to play it.
Any one familiar with this problem??

well, see if this works...
when you put the cd in, sometimes by default the "enhanced" part of the cd may come on, or play with one of your default players...its a hassle, I hate it...if this comes up, just push the keyboard command Alt+F4 and it shall go away no problem...but for your player question.
If you go into "My computer" and then right click on the drive that your CD player uses, instead of going to open, go to explore...once that opens, it shall bring up the whole contents of the disc, enhanced features and all...if you see the audio part of it, just right click on it and then there may be an option that says "open with" and then try to open it with Winamp...
I am no professional by any means, but I know sometimes you have to go the back way around things just to get them to work...
and the reason the standard cd player will do it is because it probably doesn't have a media or video feature built in like a lot of other players do...
hopefully this will help, but then again, who knows...

I thought you could only listen to cds on the enhanced version of winamp. Can you actually listen to them on the regular version of winamp 2.5 or 3.0 If you play the cd in an audio program it should only play the audio tracks, if you play it in something like windows media player it might go to the section that has the video right away, I'm not sure.
