Ames Sanglantes? No idea. But MASONNA stands for Mademoiselle Anne Sanglantes Ou Notre Nyphomanie Auréolé!
I went for MASONNA even though I know Masami Akita has the superior talent. No-one can fuck with Merzbow! But Maso Yamazaki's stuff appeals to me more. And vocals! The first artist I'd encountered who didn't seem to hold vocals sacred (though I know Stockhausen did vocal cut-ups long before Maso did) and manipulated them to wonderful new forms.
Aube also has incredible ability and his works remain fresh & intriguing (for the most part) despite working with the same materials again & again. But he seems more like an Artist. His music works better if you have the original packaging to hand. He concentrates on the whole effect, not just the Noise. I love his stuff deeply though!
No C.C.C.C.?

One of my favourites, and the group (duo really) who had the privilege of 'Kodanshi's 1st Noise album (not compilation) purchase' with their
Flash CD on Coldspring Records.
Darkness Fish: I don't think much of Whitehouse either. Listened to on headphones
Quality Time makes an amazing listen. In fact, when I 1st blasted it on my stereo I thought the opening of track 2 sounded like my speakers ripping! But all that woman-hating shite I detest. All smacks of Power Electronics that deal with hate. A bizarrely Western take on Eastern Noise where the West associates loud Noise with ANGER! and DESTRUCTION! Copycat macho bullshit instead of an artistic expression of emotions from within (as with C.C.C.C.). Hence why so much Japanoise sounds unique to each artist, but like every other bedroom guy when the Europeans or Americans try it. Not to diss American or European Noise because you get an incredible amount of great stuff from there too. Even in the PE vein (like Con-Dom).
