I was kind of wondering this myself, but I wouldn't call what Markus Popp does "noise"...he basically takes cd's that he paints on and makes the music generated from the sound of that...but i guess you could call it noise...

and Christian fennesz's work is more like acoustic noise

Oval is definitely more like digital errors, instead of "noise".

you did? now that's an album I couldn't get through but then again I'm not a big noise fan, but I did like the Ovalcommers cd you sent me...haven't gotten to all of them yet, but will soon
