I enjoy the Beach Boys , but their music doesn't have much variation . All of the tracks sound alot alike .

I can't,, but you know, there is a whole cult like following of The Beach Boys 70's stuff... To be honest I haven't listened to their original 70's stuff that much, so I can't make an honest evaluation of it (the "Surf's Up" album from the early 70's is said to be great)...
I personally LOVE the 60's stuff though...

so they say surf's up is good
i've tried......really, to complement my 60s catalogue with the 70s, since capitol released the two-fer CDs, but to no avail.
i had really hoped they would sound good, but i've tried both "sunflower" and "surf's up" and don't find the "magic" anymore. they became a contryish laid-back band, with forgettable tunes.
its only "kokomo" from the 80s that i love best.

They have better songs than those in my opinion. I can't list the names correctly off my head as I'm not a frequent listener but I'm sure someone else could.
