First album i've taken a listen to from this Japanese electronic artist...have to say its quite interesting...IDM elements along with a computerized vocal over most of the tracks...nice and smooth, its like the vocals are rapping, quite funny, yet groovy at the same time...I'll give it a B+
he's a-okay.
felt a bit disappointed though, cause somehow i felt like that vocodered robot singing lacked of some nice, catchy melodies.
this way, i just found it terribly annoying.
[gamers in exile are doing similar stuff, but with more melody, especially in 'i'm a decent man'. fantastic track]
I sampled some of his stuff on the internet. I didn't check out the songs with the robot voice but I heard some of his other instrumental stuff. it is okay, a bit happy for my taste. unlike mum, he sounds too cute at times for me. mum sounds more innocent, more melancholic and less cutsy...
