Pole "45/45" ep
well, as Mira Calix, I obtained this as well today for about 5 bucks...pretty cheap standard considering its an import...well, I'd never heard any of Stefan Betke's work, but from what i've read alot of its minimal and using the same sounds...well, this EP seems a bit funkier and more "soundy" (if thats a word) than what I expected, yet the sounds that are spanned over the 4 tracks basically use the same style of programming, sounds, etc. I wouldn't call it boring by any means, but nothing purely creative, i'd give it a B-

u know, I heard this is his funkiest release, yet. from what I read, his new stuff is leaning more toward the dancey side. I personally haven't heard anything from him but it seems interesting on paper...

Pole 2 is really nice and subdue. with all the echo and stuff, no wonder they call it minimal dub.
since I have heard Pole 2, I can't imagine him doing more dancey songs.

pole 2 and 3 are each a must-have. not easy listening music but indeed a very interesting project in therms of sound design.
