De La Soul
Who else enjoys listening to De La Soul? What's your favourite album? What song of theirs do you like?
Also, De La Soul are going to release their third album to the AOI collection in August. Supposedly it's meant to be a DJ album which should be pretty good.
For me, my favourite album of theirs would have to be the debut album, 3 Feet High And Rising. It was pretty funny and had some great tunes.
I'm not too sure on my favourite De La Soul track but Me Myself And I would have to be up there.

Yep...3 Feet High And Rising was a pretty good debut album. That caused them a fair bit of trouble though because everyone thought they were new age hippies so in their next album (De La Soul Is Dead) that they told everyone they weren't and change their style a lot.

Yeah, de la sol's 3 feet high and rising are one of the classic hip-hop rap albums of all-time. its release took hip-hop in another direction with its relaxed style.
i like their magic number, its been really hot in uk. it hits the top 10 here and say no go is another good song.

De La Soul is truly a unique rap act. Me, Myself, and I was a great tune, with I Left My Wallet (in El Segundo) as well. They brought a much needed light-heartedness to rap when they came out.

yeah they are very special, i'm not a hip-hop fan, many of the hip-hop music sounds very much the same to me, like that of Nelly.
and De La Soul is one of a few whose music i can name the difference.

I'll make a thread about this (if anyone else hasn't) but A Tribe Called Quest are going to join up again after 5 years of being split up.
