No shit, I must have got my wires crossed. It just so happens I usually listen to Tribe when I pull out the old De La Soul CD's.

They do sound pretty similar too and they worked together a fair bit.

You know De La Soul have a greatest hits album out now and it's pretty lame. I had a look at it the other day and there are a lot of songs from 3 Feet High And Rising. I can't find the track listing but it didn't seem like an album you'd want to buy.

I think it's a great album too but there was a big portion of the songs from that album and not much from any of the others.

All this de la talk and not One mention of buhloone mind state?

Yes De La is one of the best in hip hop. There new stuff is real good, catchy tune that get you rockin. But the early stuff is better, like 3 feet & De la soul is dead. But for some reason Buhloone is my fav, Maybe because it's in the early '90's and that was the glory era for the rap I'm in to.

Plus "It might blow up...but it won't go pop"

Hey, I really love Buhloone too. It's actually the first De La album I ever got, so it has extra sentimental value as well (I mean, besides the really good songs too).

bec,
Try 'Art Offical Intelegence' and 'Moasic Thump' it's their two newer albums, they came out after 'stakes is high'. It's more hard core like you said but I think it's all to try to get a point across to the other mainstreamers that it's not all necessary. They do it as a joke. (check out 'porn star' or 'Baby Phat' on either of the two albums i mentioned earlier in the post)
