Songs that should be covered

By punk bands. There's a rich history of punk covers of pop songs, what songs should be covered?

I personally think that "Rosalita" by Bruce Springsteen could be done into a really kickass ska-punk song.

over the rainbow was a less than jake cover. psychobilly bands the world over have often covered elvis songs. i think that stax songs would sound great if revved up with punk. i would love to hear a punk 'mustang sally' or 'land of a thousand dances,' but then again aren't the black keys already doing that?

the black keys are sorta doing that, but they're much more rock than punk in my opinion.

If you're gonna do stax stuff, gotta do Otis Redding. Although most of his best songs have been rock-ified already, so it's rather well worn territory.

oh, and Sugarcult covered No Action by Elvis Costello. Whether they constitute punk is up to your individual taste.
