Why is she AS hated as she is? So many people seem to think she's the worst thing in music, she's the anti-christ, all sorts of things. I'm not a huge fan by a long shot, but I hardly think she's the end of the world.

There's already about three threads saying why she should be given concrete slippers.

i dont understand why she is hated so much either. i mean im a massive fan of Avril and all i can say is she's doing what she loves and look how well she is doing it.

you should realize that she tries to go along with the punk image but she actually makes pop rock in actuality, so many punk fans are against her as they feel she fakes being a punk music writer. however i have a little respect for her due to the fact that she writes her own stuff, otherwise, its not exactly my kinda music anyway

she is not punk she's admitted that she isnt punk. yeah she is pop-rock and she has admitted that.

i nu all this however many ppl including me believe she dresses a certain way, acts, etc. to try and fall somewhat under the punk genre or attract such fans

I don't care what genre she is or pretends to be. I don't like her music, even though she writes it herself. She strikes me as a pathetic and insecure girl.
