hate to break it to you people, but a lot of pop stars only act a certain way to fit in, I'm not saying avril falls under this catergory, but a lot of people do. But hey isnt that what being a pop star is, being something the people think you are even if its not you? I dont really know that much about punk but I think avril is decently good.

But thats the thing, while you're right about people catering to the audience etc, Avril keeps on coming out saying how she hates them kind of people and how she isn't like that at all, she does what she wants and wears what she wants etc, which isn't anything to be proud off as she dresses like a tramp.

She's a total and fucking idiot, just look up some of the things she has said, if I was a woman I';d hunt her down and beat the fuck out of her for being so annoying, only person more annoying then her is Chrisclark.

She claims to write her stuff when she doesn't and even her management have admitted she has a team of proffesional songwriters help her, she claims to be this punk rock chick (And yes, she HAS claimed that) yet she is about as punk as Britney Spears is a rapper and she can't play guitar for shit so should just let that one go.

im a massive fan, do you know what realy gets on my nerves? the bands you lot are into are just so good according to everyone else. every band i mention that im into they are crap, Avril is an excellent artist you cant see that fair enough

Hey, you can like who you want, don't worry about what other people say, I can't stand her and would go as far to say as I have hatred for her and I don't even know her, that's how much I can't stand her, but couldn't care less if others like her, tho her fans do get on my nerves when they say shit like 'Oooo, she writes such meaningful lyrics' which I have heard the 'average' fan say that a lot.

One thing I have learned on the net and on music forums in particular is that a lot of people try really hard to be cool and listen to cool stuff then just outright ridicule other people who might listen to what isn't the 'norm' in coolamaility (Yes, I know that isn't a proper word), go to ya average music forum and you will see what I mean.

Here however people will just give their opinion and move on and not care, at a lot of other forums tho they take it a step further.

yeah i totaly agree with what you are saying, believe it or not i used to like country music ( i know dont laugh). then i heard the soundtrack for a film called the craft, then i started getting in to rock music. i totaly get what you are saying

not all country music is bad... it would just be so much better for you if you'd grow up and forget about Avril, btw don't call her rock...
