I was raised in the mid/late 70's and my mother's tastes from that time period were a BIG influence. Every Saturday and Sunday morning my brother and I would wake up to Pink Floyd, Heart, Carly Simon, Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, Steely Dan, The Doobie Bros., The Eagles, Supertramp, Jackson Browne, etc. Like that. My ma owned a cartage company (which warehoused personal instruments for studio musicians to be set up for in-town gigs and then returned), so I had exposure to the whole L.A. music scene from a very early age.

Hmm...during that critical period in my life, I was mostly exposed to a variety of 80's music, mainly from the pop ballad genre, I guess. I was too young to consciously take note of artists or particular songs, but I know it when I hear it. I love schmaltzy pop from the 80s and early 90s, so bring on the cheese!

OK well...I'm 13...so yeah :P Anyway, I used to be obsessed with the Spice Girls (I know, I know...)! Even though their music is horrible to me now, it still brings back a lot of memories for me and my friends
