it's not that it was bad... it's just that single came out around the same time that gangsta rap was starting to take over... the happy fun rap style that dj jazzy jeff and the fresh prince started was getting really old by then... and while skee-lo might have been a nice change from the more violent rap coming out around that time... no one really seemed to care for more than the length of his song...

When you think about it though, that song isn't really that great except for the chorus. I can understand if they fell away for being unpopular.
