The thing with No Doubt is if you were blind (no offense), and heard their music without ever hearing about them, they'd be Ska. But to you and me, Ska they aint'. Gwen Stefani had a pop thing going on before No Doubt, and tacked a band on to a small style so she could act like she invented it. They then used this attitude till Reel Big Fish got big, told them were they could stick it, and some true Ska came to light. No Doubt can only be thanked for one thing, making Reel Big Fish and therefore Moon Ska Europe big, and then ****ing off.

Also, No Doubt's music sucks. The Skatalites etc. should be credited as all Ska's creators, not this pop princess who hired a ten pence band, and acted like some new wave. And i would think of Shaggy (pre R&B shit) as being Dancehall music, which for me, is where Reggae goes all downhill, and slides the slippery slope to R&B hell. Reggae is great, when it is classified as Reggae, not R&B or Dancehall. That Diagram up the top is great, apart from that somehow R&b leads to punk, Although modern R&B doesent bear much relation to the old stuff, which is really ok. Speech over.
