Question !!
I don't like hip hop at all but I entered in this forum because I want to know if you like Sing for the moment of Eminem!! I want to know it because Aerosmith is my favourite band and Sing for the moment is the "cover of "Dream on" that is a beautful ballad of Aerosmith!!!
p.s.: sorry for my english but I'm Italian and in spite of years of study I still make a lot of mistakes !!

your english sounds fine aerina.
However, I really do not like Eminem's "sing for the moment." Although I'm a super eminem fan myself, I still cannot connect with Eminem's style in that song. It just doesn't seem like him. Maybe it's the beat or the melody, but his voice just doesn't go with such refreshing soft beats like that.

Eminem? X-rated lyrics and bad-ass middle fingers, his tough "street" background does get my attention. and i have his debut album infinite..... but i'm not his fan. i like some of his songs, that's all.... for the rest of his music, i'd say " no comment".

Just an aside comment, as I try to stay out of Eminem mainstream discussion on principle... but this song in particular is one of his more poorly planned songs, in my opinion. Not that it doesn't show some lyrical ingenuity, but it falls away from his more straight-forward approach, and doesn't give his style enough credit. Of course, being that the radio completely over-plays this song doesn't help in the least!

I've never heard that song. It's never on the radio, and I don't watch music television like mtv, 'cause there's only crap on it. But it must be weird. An Aerosmith cove by eminem. I'm gonna dwnload it, just to hear it. If it sucks I'll delete it again.

It's not an Aerosmith cover, per say... he simply samples an Aerosmith song.

Em's talent is legendary. He makes a few bad songs, but his good songs make up for this, and his sample of an Aerosmith song really dosen't do anything for me either way. I do like that heavy beat on top, real simple and it sounds like they put a sheet over the hi-hats on that one, giving it that tougher sound. Dre makes shit sound good for him.....

talking about aerosmith and rap...who loves that song they did with run dmc? it's kinda symbolic at the time and even now of the clash between metal/hard rock and rap/hip hop.

I used to hate eminem. I thought his voice was annoying.
However, after I got into lyricism, I understood what kind of amazing skills he has. If you listen to his raps, you'll here richly developed multisyllable rhymes, awesome vocal inflections, you'll also hear that he actually does "mean" the words he says. This element has been lost in most popular music these days.
The words still count.
