I don't know what a personally dislike about him specifically, because I have nothing against that general type of music per se...his lyrics always seemed silly and contrived, and he seems way too full of himself (in the wrong way), talking about how he's a disciple of stevie ray vaughn on guitar and blah blah blah.

I know that there's little difference from what other rockers have done in the past sexually, but something bothers me about him going to frat parties, walking in and saying "hey ladies, i'm john mayer, who wants to sleep with me?" and then waiting while they line up. he should have better things to do, and at least let them come to him.

i think i better stop talking bout him cause it seems that all of the members here dun like him...

no worries, claire. no matter wat we say, as long as u like him, u shouldn't be bothered. everyone has different taste in music. and if u really like him, watever we say here is not going to change the way how he makes u feel. just follow yer interest will do.

Just because he isn't one of my favorites doesn't mean that you aren't allowed to like him or say so as often as you want. if nothing else, I was trying to recommend some other similar artists you might also enjoy.
