On first introduction, this album may appear trite, boring, and perhaps occasionally taxing. On the contrary, I consider this album a landmark in broadening my ear's definition of music. On repeated listens, I think this is perhaps one of the most exciting things I've ever heard.

I just finished listening to All Tomorrow's Parties 3.0. Disc 1 is definitely better than Disc 2 after my initial listen. Disc one has more variety in musical style and the songs tend to have more dynamic than disc 2. disc 2's songs tend to be way too repetitive. I like repetition, but you still have to have subtle changes to make the whole song interesting. songs on disc 2 like baby ford's serpentine tale is just boring. maybe there is suble change which I have not spotted. I will see if my impression changes after my second listen.

on disc 1, Dr Dooom's Leave me Alone(peanut butter wolf remix), Gescom's Mag are definitely my favorite tracks so far.

Microstoria is Oval's Markus Popp and that guy from Mouse On Mars' collobration. I still haven't listened to this remix album yet. I will report back as soon as I finish my first listen. Wish me luck.

Reprovisers is the only album I have from Microstoria. I do have one album from Mouse on Mars and few more albums from Oval. Since this is a remix album, I can't tell how different they are from the original materials. but, there is nothing dancey on this album, unless you count the first minute of Endless Summer Namm. so far, the tracks I like are Microstoria [Remix], Run? I Jolly Well Won't Run. I'll Be Happy to Get You Chaps Another Bal - Ui, and Microstoria Runtime Engine - Oval.

the rest of the tracks are very ambient-ish, not very attention grabbing. but they are definitely very nice and relaxing, not so much glitch and noise like Oval. well, it was also a problem for me to hear some of the tracks because I was playing tony hawk pro skater 2 without BGM and listening to Microtoria instead. I need to listen to the album without doing anything.

listening to "Init Ding" back in 1994 (?) really opened me to the whole electronic scene. Someone in a paper linked it to some experiments by The United States of America. Ever heard that old group ?
