No, it's the Vigotone label, but it is a 2 CD set and includes a lot of odd items, including the extended mix of "Christmas Time Is Here Again" that you mentioned. That has to be the most obnoxious song in the entire Beatles catalog.

being Beatles fans, do you own a bootleg copy of the Beatles in the Hollywood Bowl, and the Christmas records ? good quality ?

Yeah, I have both,, although my Hollywood Bowl LP was the official release that came out in 1977... I have a good quality LP copy of The Christmas album (I had two at one point, but sold the other years ago)...

For many years I collected Beatle albums and I have all sorts of bootlegs and imports on LP...

I have no problem at all with anyone putting Kula Shaker on their favorite list, but I am surprised that "Astronauts..." is on your list and not "K",,, I feel "K" was superior...

Well, I love Kula Shaker, collected all their released works, albums/singles. While both albums are great, I find "K" too straight rock n roll stuff, you know almost all the songs are fast tempo.

"Peasants, Pigs, Astronauts" on the other hand, has a great intro in "Great Hosannah", then moves into the grand mid-tempo "Mystical", a pure Indian number "Radhe", the great love ballad "Shower Your Love", the stylish "Sound of Drums" and had a repeat of "Hosannah" in "The Last Farewell" as the semi-closing number. It's just perfect. Like the trip, the whole album is.

"Peasants" is like a Sgt Pepper, while "K" is the Revolver, good but not quite complete.

Interesting analogy,, but ya know, many think Revolver is superior to Sgt. Pepper.. Either way, all four albums we are talking about are really good...

I agree that the rock tunes on the album are fast paced,, but the more "mystical" tracks are of mid tempo and are what make the album for me...

I never know exactly what to put for this genre... pop=popular=commercially successful, right? That could include anything that ever went platinum...
OK.KO

Bjork - Post
Van Morrison - Moondance
The Police - Regatta De Blanc
Steely Dan - Aja
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Mother's Milk
Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique
Prince - Sign O' The Times
The Talking Heads - Remain In Light
Cat Stevens - Tea For The Tillerman
RUSH - Moving Pictures

Something like that...
