i'm not usually into hip hop, but one band that kinda 'tricked' me into liking some hip hop was Big Audio Dynamite and i liked them because of the Clash...

is there anyone else in my shoes where it took one particular band to get you into liking hip hop?

Beastie Boys got me into rap...well I kind of liked it anway but they really got me into it.

That is the same with me. The first rap album I bought was "It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back."

The mixture of sounds and backbeats with the bravado of Chuck D and the comic delivery of Flav, it was just so different than anything out at the time. Great group, great album!

I always heard rap all over the radio. Remember Kriss Kross? Thats as far back as i can remember. I was in the 5th grade at the time.

Best group? I am going to mention WuTang, just cause no one has yet.
