I would classify that under one man's Freedom Fighter (Oxymoronic, I know) is another's terrorist.

When you have been around long enough you will understand.

As in, he got a lot more attention and fans by doing that than by being nominated for an award he had no chance of winning. By coinkydinks Murder Ballads' record sales went up greatly after that.

For those of you not old enough....that was the year that anyone with a clue knew the so called Van Halen "reunion" was going to be a fiasco which awarded Best Male to Beck. As in, the year of Odelay....which had no change of losing. It wasn't even a close vote from what I understand.

P.S. It wasn't even original.....George C. Scott and Marlon Brando, anyone?

Radiohead is one of my most favorite bands, but czgibson was right, music is not a competition, no matter how many Guitar Hero / Rock Band video games they pump out.
