Stardust - I think you've just answered my annoying question without even knowing it! (see 'Tesco ad tune' in Song ID). There is an advert over here that uses a song which sounds soooo like Chet Baker (the lyrics are "Let's get lost, lost in each other's arms"). I thought I was wrong when I assumed it was Chet, but I wasn't! Thanks!

He does an amazing trumpet solo on Elvis Costello's "Shipbuilding". And the most wonderful cover of Costello's "Almost Blue". Love him.

I'm apologizing in advance as this is probably very crude of me, but is this not the most phallic album cover you've ever seen?

Chet Baker is a wonderful trumpeter, he also had a great singing voice.

I have lots of his albums, and the video 'Let's Get Lost'.

Great trumpeter, Chet.......and great singer.
One of my favourites: "Everithing happens to me"......
And I love very much his period with Gerry Mulligan, West Coast Jazz, with their piano-less quartet! Carioca, one of the best songs of them.

(Pardon my bad english, i write from Italy).
