I really don't care much for the music of his solo career, although I of course respect its importance and innovation. The Jackson 5, on the other hand, I absolutely love, I Want You Back is one of my favorite pop tunes of all time.

By the by....it's pretty unusual that someone his age (who supposedly doesn't have any heart related problems) has a personal physician who is a cardiologist.
Pope Benedict XVI recently picked a cardiologist as his personal physician, but he does have a heart condition and is 82.
Mine and Lady Satchmo's is/was Internists.
There are also comments about how he passed a 4.5 hour physical in March as part of the London O2 concert agreement. Meaning, if he really was an addict he had to clean up before the exam and you would have to believe his medical records had to have been checked.

Jesse Jackson....yet another con artist makes an appearance with Michael's father (who should be taken out and beaten for the next 20-years)....both of whom are laughing and his father is also giving thumbs-up to those standing across from the home he beat out of his children.
Someone might want to inform him that his SON died yesterday!

P.S. It's pretty bizarre that someone has to die for there to be just one day of truly great commercial radio and videos shown on MTV!
MTV has now turned into MJTV.

Anyone want to attempt guessing who has the #1 through 15 recordings being sold on Amazon and 29 of the other 85 top sellers, right now?

1. WTF? has a pharmacy bill of around a $8,500 - $10,000 a month and supposedly isn't supposed to have any health problems?
2. WTF? has a live-in doctor (who was being paid by the promoter for the London Concerts) if he's healthy? The only reason is to have a legal pusher.
3. As of this post....said doctor is still M.I.A. At some point the D.A.'s office and/or State of California is going to have do something about that.
4. What half-assed idiot (never mind a cardiologist) attempts to give CPR to someone on a bed?
5. As with Lady Satchmo the toxicology results (which still haven't come in) will tell the story.
Of course, in Lady Satchmo's case it's going to be a confirmation of an what is thought is an alergic reaction to medication which she was prescribed the day before....and only took that one time on April 7th.
Her 4 hour autopsy showed she was in EXCELLENT physical condition. The thought that someone was cutting her body open and taking out internal organs including her heart and brain and slicing them is another issue that will always bother me.

Apart from the hype and scandal, Jackson was one of the most purely gifted entertainers of my lifetime. Perhaps he is also among the last to have come up in a time when the Old School entertainment work ethic was in FULL FORCE. Even though he came up in it as a child, he obviously picked up the skill set and work ethic. Yes, it was beat into him by the piece of scum that is his father, but still.
The man had huge problems but he also had huge skills. Neither should be either overlooked nor denied.
Both Thriller & Off The Wall are definitive statements that anybody with even a half-assed interest in either the musical or social evolution of Popular America will find fundamental to any sort of understanding.
Has anyone heard the Thriller 25? I don't know WTF? they/ Jackson was/were thinking. A whole lot of remixing has taken place. Eddie's solo (one of the best in Rock History) on Beat It has now been hard panned to the left. They also appear to have lowered it in the mix. If anything that solo made the recording as big as it was....by making it a crossover hit. I don't know if anyone now realizes just how big a deal it was back then that Eddie Van Halen was involved and broke off one of his best solos and it wasn't a Van Halen recording. It would also lead to a reverse crossover for Van Halen's record 1984.
I am not even going to get into the piece of shit remixes with Fergie and whatnots.
