I can't like Ballboy?

They're not the best band in the world but I like most of the songs on A Guide for The Daylight Hours. I don't see whats surprising about me being a fan.

I would appreciate it if you point out just where I said you can't like Ballboy? Don't tell me you're now losing your sense of humor, as well?

Here is a hint....just imagine the usual amount of smilies and/or appropriate pictures in my posts....I just have no desire to be Satchmo, if you know what I mean. Even the WTF?s are pushing it for me, right now.

I meant to say that I'm surprised you assume I wouldn't listen to them. They were good enough for John Peel weren't they?

By the way, you're welcome.

I've listened to the Yo La Tengo and Pavement albums, but only once. It's too soon to say, it's not the kind of music that gets you going the first time you hear it, but most of the best music isn't. I'll be downloading more and commenting later.

btw, is Ballboy considered more pop-ish Indie?

They're far from being a popular band, but they're musical style does tend to be similar to pop bands. Nothing wrong with having pop sensibilities, some of the greatest subterranean groups use elements inspired by pop music.
