I figured you would have heard it because it was immensely popular in the states in the late 90s, and thats the original I'm assuming panbient was referring to a hip hop remix.

In this thread (since we are talking about "rap" and "horrible") I only mean present day RnB, which one could better describe as "gay hip hop". I don't even think it's fair to come up with the completely different, respectable blues genre of the past decades to challenge my opnion. Modern day RnB has nothing to do with this whatsoever, they just stole the name and that's not a very good reason to treat it as one single genre. I would like to know your opinion on my opnion now that you know what RnB I was reffering to. I think it's a genre that deserves generalisation, since absolutly nothing of it is original or non-stereotypical. But you can always come up with counter examples if you can think of any...

That song is terrible, but that is understandably surprising that you've never heard it. Take the number of times they say "blue" in that song, cube it, and that's probably around the number of times I heard that song within a couple years. Liked it at the time though.

yeah but when's the last time you heard an obviously commercial radio single that even had that much going for it hehe that clarinet line is sweet which in turn makes it about a billion times better than that 'blue' remix hehe.

I don't really keep up with what's "popular", but I'm assuming that Outkast and Common are fairly popular and I enjoy the majority of their output...
