Just checked these guys out on Last.fm today, and I must say I'm fairly fucking impressed ay.

While they appear to only have a demo out so far, I'm reading that the band themselves have been suprised and delighted at the abundance of posotive reaction they've had already. I have to say I can see why.

Obviously theres the huge Meshuggah influence, but hey, if Textures can get away with it... Fuck, Textures new track "Awake" is almost geuninely mistakeable for Devin Townsend.

Anyway, TesseracT's similarity to Meshuggah is interesting, becuase its very different at the same time. TesseracT sound like the same psychic energy as Meshuggah, but still bound to flesh and blood, as opposed to a colder more mechanised frame. Plus they're not all Mesh anyway, the vocals are more clean prog style, but manage not to detract from any songs intensity, given that there is palpably less anger.

Try them out, listen for yourself. April Song is definetly my favorite.
