The band has no plans for any American shows right now. There's also no word on any involvement from classic-era guitarist Jim Martin (he of the frizzy hair and Sally Jessy Raphael glasses), who may be too busy growing giant pumpkins to take part. Also no word on original vocalist Chuck Mosely, the guy who sang on "We Care a Lot" and who Patton replaced just in time for The Real Thing.

cool I guess

is ipecac really doing that poorly?

it didn't really take long for the coachella rumours to get squashed. personally i'm not a fan out reunion deals, there's something a little too contrived about the whole thing.

I agree, it doesn't sit well with me, what happened to the whole "if we ever even worked together again it certainly wouldn't be under the name Faith No More" thing?

Well, Ipecac happens to be located in my hometown of Orinda (one of my best friends' dad actually designed Mike Patton's house, I'm only vaguely aware of where it is but I could certainly find out), and if they're leasing any buildings in the downtown area I can tell you that it certainly wouldn't take much for them to be hitting some strain with regards to upkeep costs. Downtown Orinda has a notably high business turnover rate, stores come and go pretty quickly, and it's a rich little suburb so nothing is particularly cheap. Given, unlike Lava Pit and the Orinda Creperie Ipecac's business doesn't actually rely on Orinda residents (which is fortunate, speaking from experience I'll tell you that there aren't many Fantomas and Melvins fans to be found in that city ), but if they're renting space for whatever reason it isn't cheap. However, only their P.O. Box is listed anywhere, and from what I can tell the label is operated out of some kind of cottage (?), so the real estate issues I'm rambling about might not be particularly relevant.

I hope it's true. It would be nice to see Patton-era FNM playing together again. It might actually be good since the guys shouldn't hate each other as much as they used to and since they shouldn't be as bored of the material after having not played it on a pretty much daily basis on tour for a very long time.

It would be much more exciting if either Jim Martin or Trey Spruance were to join the band but bridges have apparently been burned with both of them. John Hudson's a weak guitarist but then so was Dean Menta.

Now if Mr Bungle were to get back together and release new material, that would make it all perfect. I've only managed to see FNM and Fantômas in concert...and a Mr Bungle gig would be great. Disco Volante one of the best albums ever.

I saw FNM with patton and Jim Martin in the early 90's and I have also seen Mr bungle twice. I would be really surprised if Mike Patton played with FNM again, but I would of said the same thing about the pixies 10 years ago.
