Music theory- the basics of music

Hi there!!

I'm feeling proud to receive the opportunity to initiate such a great topic. Music theory comprises of all the basics like rhythms, melody, harmony, texture and formation. The advanced music theory comprises of pitch, scales, composition and dynamics without which imagining music is just impossible. If you will like to put more light on this, your replies are most welcome.

Well, don't feel too proud. There have been music theory threads started before. They haven't been collected and placed in the proper forum yet.

You can find some with the search engine.

Could always use another one cool music theory thread, though...

hi,

thanks for posting. I've come across some people who don't consider having study of music theory important for composing music. for me to initiate music making cannot be done without the help of music theory but excelling in the same can be done independently.what do you have to say about them?

i really hope you're going to actually start posting about theory soon and aren't just fronting to post more links. first it was a music reviewer now you're a technical analyst? you're looking far more like a spammer to me.

Whatever she happens to be....she can't make up her mind on whether she is a music reviewer, technical analyst, financial reviewer (which was posted on another site) and if the name is Ruhi Sheikh or Jenny Jobs.

As in, someone break out the Pepsi.

The mighty morphing job title is unnecessary and weird, but it seems like she's trying to contribute.

She dropped some Schubert and Kronos Quartet, which is novel for a spammer.

You sure it's not because she gave you the "hi dear...." that you're attempting the Clarence Darrow by way of Don Quixote?
