I realize that when you're very young and are confronted with such a landmark album, the impression that it's superior to anything that might follow must be very strong.

I got to hear BiB along with most other AC/DC albums, long after they had been released, and I fail to see why it's still being rated as highly as it is. Like I said, IMO it don't make the top6.

Well you can write revisionist history to your heart's content. I cannot speak to that because I cannot process the possiblity of this being an actual opinion.

I think black ice is a great album, but it doesn't come anywhere near their old stuff. It seems that most old rock bands that try to come around these days just can't match up to themselves. Other examples of this includle scorpions and def leppard. They still put out good music, but as far as ROCK goes and what they used to put out, it isn't as good in my opinion.

Black Ice is a good album. It doesn't compare to their older stuff, but old bands coming back rarely beat their old stuff. In fact i can't ever think of a time when it happened.

1. Coming back? Have they ever been away?

2. Just limiting it to one band I am sure you would have heard of....The Beatles, anyone?
