I have listened to the album and it's exactly as expected. Meaning everyone has already heard it more times than I want to count (honestly, I'd have to actually look it up and I do not care to do that). There is a time and a place for that, and when I get to that time and place I will stick to Back in Black or one of the Bon Scott albums. Otherwise, if you're feeling completely unadventurous, there's this album.

Yeah. Up to and including FTATR I think each AC/DC album has a distinct feel and sound. After that I haven't really paid any attention.

Sure, but still, I don't know, it's just fun man, AC/DC-- they still got it.

I'll grant that - they can rubber-stamp with the best of them. It's not that big a deal even...the only reason I even went and checked it out is that someone made a thread about it. they can feel free to do their thing as long as they want and normally I don;t even pay attention. I don;t think I heard the last 3 or 4 or however many AC/DC albums...actually we have to go back to Fly on The Wall for the last time I paid attention. This is basically the last time this album is going to get any play from me. The files will just get deleted the next time I clean out the downloads folder.

Yeah. Before this the only AC/DC in my iPod was the LTBR. Now I'm on a new AC/DC (like a lot of others) so i put in three tracks from this one, FOTW, FOTS, and added HWTH, Powerage, IFYWB and a few other random tracks here and there. For some reason I'm missing Dirty Deeds and FTATR.
I think my favorite is Highway To Hell

My fav AC/DC albums:
Johnson era:
1) Live (best AC/DC album ever!!)
2) The razor's edge
3) Fly on the wall
Scott era:
1) Let there be rock
2) Powerage
3) If you want blood

Pretty sure, yea. I'd even go as far to say that BIB isn't even that great, well, at least all songs sound much better live, some of them can be heard on the Live album.
FOTW is a pretty underrated album IMO, I wonder why. The songs are hardly ever on their setlist, nobody lists it as a fav. Foundations, Pink, Girls and of course the title track, are all highlights of their catalogue if you ask me. And the production is great. Have you ever seen the home video? It burns!
EDIT:
I'm not going into detail about Razor because IMO that's their by far best studio album. BiB can't touch it. Oh yea, and it's their best album cover, too.

Now Back in Black is an album that could get a long review from me, although considering I was 11 when it came out it would not make for interesting reading and anecdotes would be too personal. However it is another album that changed my life. I am not going to even consider the peciluar notion that a Brian Johnson album not named Back in Black could conceiveably come close to it.
Fly on the Wall probably ended up being underrated because Flick of the Switch just wasn't very good. As far as I am concerned you can stop it right there. I guess it gives them something new to play when they go out on tour to occasionally rearrange their riffs and call them different songs and I do not begrudge them that, especially when so many other bands can't even handle that simple task.

We're very close to the same age and I feel very much the same way.
