Red face Home Studio Production

Has anyone ever had the experience of producing a track at home and never felt happy with the way it sounds? I use Logic Audio and although I have got good kit with a semi decent soundcard (Audiowerk2) I'm never convinced with the resulting sound. The question is.... can I get a sound for my track that is comparable to that of a professionally produced track? It's so Frustrating!.

nope

but you can do a nice sounding demo of your own work if you do it right. however, a lot more important will be the quality of your compositions. (depends on what you want to do)
i personally don't like reading technical manuals about mastering,
eqing whatever. a good feeling for the sound and a pair of good trained ears and you will do a great job.
a good mastering tool like e.g. Ozone weren't wrong.
or ask some other pairs of ears.
or upload a demo so we can hear what you mean.
