isn't this the 3rd year in a row chic gets nominated? if bands are just going to be nominated until they're inducted what's the point?

Yes, it's the third year in a row. It happens in sports' HOFs as well. Although, they normally can be up for a certain amount of years before having to go to a Senior's Committee vote.

i suppose that works but why not leave a gap year or something. if they don't get in after 2 consecutive tries they just lose a turn.

What usually happens is they keep getting nominated but at the same time new and better athletes/musicians/bands become eligible each year.

The Stooges were nominated two years ago and were not last year. This year is the first year Metallica was eligible.


Of course, Chic has no business even being nominated and don't even get me started on their pretending Prog never existed.


As I said before the whole concept is oxymoronic.


Having said that....the five from the above list who should get in....

i don't know wanda jackson or little anthony but the others seem like valid entries to the HoF.

I'm going to go ahead and say that I actually have no idea who Chic even is.

From the sound of things, I'm not missing much.
