I'd still say seriously try some of their stuff and you might end up liking it. Their songs like Flowers and Razorwire, Lonewolves, Trophy Scarsetc might me more up your alley intially if you are so put off by the singer's screams.
alright i listened to lonevolves and trophy scars and i like him screaming better. His voice just isnt for me i guess i did try though

I think you accidentally said that Opeth was hands down better than The Beatles.

Hmm interesting theory, but no, two different polls. One fictional, made up in my own imagination, to voice my disproval of these types of threads (as they are purely opinion-based), and the other actual, which would be the one we we discussing here.

But if you're throwing The Beatles in the mix.?.?
I guess I'll take them instead.

p.s. I think if we did just throw The Beatles in this discussion, the topic just became alot more interesting.

Tough, but Opeth.

I got into them before any of the others. Blackwater Park was one of my first metal albums, been a big fan ever since.

why are you bumping age old threads without offering something constructive?

why not just make new threads?

Have you considered listening to any of them? They have each been discussed a few hundred/thousand times around here....or at least it seems that way.

I would also suggest listening to Opeth, first.

Its a scary thought but I have a feeling you know EXACTLY how many times they've been discussed here.
