I have the three albums they've put out so far and their new album is supposed to be released tomorrow. I haven't seen a whole lot of talk about them around here, and they seem to be a pretty interesting band. Combining technical riffs with their down tuning and sense of rhythm makes a great combination. The vocals can be in the "deathcore" style a lot which works for them most of the time but it can be a turn off at times imo.

What are your opinions on this band?

C'mon someone has to listen to them.

I gave the 5 songs on their myspace a listen. Their sound is crushing... heavy down-tuned stuff.

It was interesting, but nothing really memorable. Like you said, the vocals can be a turn-off at times and some of the metalcore-ish aspects irk me Maybe I need to listen to a full album before making any more judgements.

The "sound" reminds me of Otep.

Great cheese death metal, along the lines of Six Feet Under, one of my favs.
Always Churns out the laughs... and the headbanging.

If you're going to check out an album I'd go with The Dead Walk or ...And Life is Very Long.

Continent is out now,and its veeeeeery brutal.

Just downloaded Continent. It's good so far, you're typical Acacia Strain mix of mosh pit worthy downtuned riffs, death metal vocals and great drumming.
