The Official What Jazz Are You Listening to....accept no substitutes....Part 넷 (Net)
Since the part after Deux passed the 1000 posts mark....it's time for a new thread.
This doesn't mean any newbies shouldn't check out the older threads.
For those interested....you can find some great recordings and a whole lot of droppings of knoweldge in the first three threads.

http://www.radiomute.com/23955-what-...part-deux.html
http://www.radiomute.com/25953-what-...fter-deux.html
For those of you wondering.....Satchmo is breaking out with the Korean in honor of Grasshoppa Bos grunniens for the naming of which part this happens to be. Who knows....he might actually show up in this thread more then once every couple months, now.
As in, Part 4....

감사합니다, 샛치모아저씨
You know, I listen to Jazz a lot, probably more than I listen to Rock (but not nearly as much as I listen to the Blues), but I generally don't pop in to say what I'm listening to. Even in the Blues what are you listening to thread, I don't make an appearance that often, although I'm listening to Blues every day.
With that said, I'm currently listening to this bad boy:

1. Chon-mahn-eh-yo
2. If I really bothered to post everything I was listening to everyday I wouldn't have enough time for all the knowledge dropped. Although, I am going to make an effort to at least try to be more regular about it.
3. To paraphrase Miles Davis....that's one major Motherfucker,
BABY!

I generally just post when I get new recordings, which is actually fairly regular.

Look who's still above ground! As in, 17-months. I can recall those milk cartons with the "have you seen Grasshoppa Geoff picture on them?", now.
Were you able to get much of your collection to England? Speaking of which....how are things going?
