Typically something by Venetian Snares is in my playlist at all times. Currently it's mostly Detrimentalist, which I think is a great album. Also like Vorpal a lot (Digressions is awesome, as well as the free ep on cockrockdisco "The End") as well as Blearg's recent "Dyphoric Sonorities". Dev/Null and Termial 11 have some good stuff as well.

Good choice! If you're into Rotator you'd probably like Cardopusher , if you haven't heard him already.

Good post Geryon, that doc was very interesting. I have been getting into Vsnares a lot lately. Rossz Csillag Alatt Született is an amazing album and im still trying to wrap my head around it. I read somewhere that its a concept album about what it would be like to be a pigeon in a big city. When you think about that while listening it brings up some pretty vivid mental images.

There is a sequel to that album (basically) in the same style called "My Downfall" that just came out this past year, you may want to check it out as well. Rossz is an awesome feat, I enjoy it a lot.

Well both genres have the same broken beat which is nice. I do find that a lot of the breakcore that I have heard (and like I said earlier Im no expert on BC)seems to be totally dominated by the beat and the drumming. Breaks songs that are more driven by bass.
The variety of styles that can be found with breaks also is better than what breakcore delivers. Breaks can be dark, techy and intense but they can also be funky as fuck and have a more of a hip hop grove to them. Breakcore can get a bit too serious while breaks is more fun. Breaks are also way more trippy which I love!

Nah, I prefer logic, much more succinct.
