recommendations?

I am DYING in this world of rock for some new music. It seems like music is taking a long break. Here's a list of bands that I enjoy:

for classic rock, generally:
aerosmith, ac/dc, america, beatles, bto, blue oyster cult, black sabbath, doobie brothers, deep purple, elo, elton john, foghat, foreigner, genesis, heart, jefferson airplane, john lennon, led zeppelin, peter frampton, peter gabriel, pink floyd, rush, steppenwolf, steve miller band, steely dan, supertramp, van halen, NOT hagar!, yes, and zz top.

newer:

30 secs to mars, all-american rejects, afi, aqualung, aberdeen city, alpinestars, blink 182, blondie, blue oyster cult, bright eyes, buckcherry, caesars, coldplay, death cab for cutie, depeche mode, deftones, dirty pretty things, eisley, evanescence, faithless, flyleaf, foo fighters, franz ferdinand, frou frou, garbage, gwen stefani, hellogoodbye, hinder, hard-fi, jet, korn, kidneythieves, katy rose, KIDNEYTHIEVES!, living things, louis xiv, lovedrug, mae, nirvana, no doubt, nine inch nails, oasis, oar, orgy, panic!at the disco, paramore, phoenix, placebo, plain white t's, resident evil, she wants revenge, snow patrol, sneaker pimps, taking back sunday, tatu, tegan and sara, the donnas, the dresden dolls, the fray, the killers, the libertines, the ramones, the shins, the smiths, the sounds, the spill
canvas, the strokes, the subways, the used, the veronicas, the white stripes, wolfmother, and yeah yeah yeahs.

I'd prefer recommendations from both tastes, like a wolfmother taste for classic rock and a kidneythieves/seether taste for modern.

1. you mentioned them twice and once in all caps.

- i did not intend on posting it twice. it was something called a mistake, when naming off all the musical knowledge i have, i can repeat. second of all, i believe that i can help push on a little bit of my recommendation because they are a great modern progressive band. i'm just a fan.

2. you have only checked this thread that i have seen.

- wrong. i'm only posting to one-- i have shortcuts on my desktop.

3. have you even bothered to look at your other similar thread with the knowledge which i dropped on you?

- yes i have, and because you are being asinine with me, i don't know if i'll even take your suggestions.

thanks. a simple person, DYING for new music, and you beat my ass. sure great forum you have here.

for classic rock style check out kyuss

for the 'modern' stuff. the kidneythieves sound like every other 'industrial' band that started up in the late 90s. check out god lives underwater / econoline crush / stabbing westward / orgy / vast

a lack of new music will never cause death but making duplicate threads will make you look like a spammer.

I've not heard Orgy and Econoline Crush myself... are they as good as Stabbing Westward or Vast? Didn't like god lives underwater much either.
