Le Peuple De L'Herbe LIVE // Cargo // 7th May

Le Peuple de l'Herbe are one of the most promising new bands from the France's musical scene. Their style is impossible to pigeonhole but if you had to give them a genre it'd be Jungle, hip-hop, funk, ragga, house, dub, break-beat and drum'n'bass. Their 2000 debut ‘Triple Zero' was met to critical acclaim and has sold over 40,000 copies worldwide, despite being considered a cult underground act. Their new album should propel Le Peuple De L'Herbe onto the international scene.

An extensive touring schedule is kicking of with a string of live dates in France before moving onto the festival stages throughout Europe and stopping through Cargo. Don't miss it.

In support are the Asteroids Galaxy Tour. The Asteroids Galaxy Tour are musicians on a mission. They are Danes dedicated to taking pop technicolour, having funk get down with folk and forcing old soul to shake its booty to disco and dub beats. If you think their name is intriguing, wait until you hear the tunes.

Formed less than a year ago, The Asteroids Galaxy Tour are heading for fame at a speed even they didn't expect. Their debut gig saw them support Amy Winehouse at the biggest venue in their native Copenhagen, at the special request of the British singer's management. In London, a demo found its way to industry veterans David Enthoven and Tim Clark, who have managed the careers of T-Rex, Roxy Music and Robbie Williams. Within half an hour of hearing it, Enthoven was on the phone to band founder Lars Iversen. Within days, he was on his way to Copenhagen to thrash out a deal.

Don't miss it!
