Ooops, I got distracted and forgot the best live bands I've ever seen:

Pink Floyd
Fleetwood Mac
R.E.M.
Bruce Springsteen
Peter Gabriel

I wish I could brag like Satchmo. but someone dies in every band, or they just stop, sometimes without even splitting and all they do is tour. except the stones. i dont know what they should do at this point. if only i were born when i was supposed to be, instead of '88.

No offense, but I always get a kick out of people saying stuff like this.

Speaking of that....you never got around to dropping knowledge on Satchmo....and this post screams Grasshoppa Geryon, BABY!

HTF? often do I ask for knowledge around here, anyhoo?....especially about music/bands?

This is the only kind of advise I was given.

Zeppelin
Stones - Mick Taylor era (although, they're still better live than 98% of most bands today. Their recordings are another story.)
Pink Floyd
The Who w/ Keith Moon
Hendrix - with whomever....even your next door neighbor who can only play the triangle.
U2
Genesis w/ Peter Gabriel
Allman Brothers w/ Duane Allman
Iron Maiden w/ either Paul Di'Anno or Bruce Dickinson.
Judas Priest
Bob Marley
Queen
Van Halen - Diamond Dave....'nuff said.
Metallica w/ Cliff Burton
Clash
Yes w/ Rick Wakeman
Bruce Springsteen - back before he started singing with the fake Woody Guthrie accent....which is going on 13-years, now.
Grateful Dead
Ramones
Sabbath - of course, I mean with Ozzy and early 70's....before he and they just became a joke....now it's only more so.

I will get around to current bands when I have time later.

You forgot GG Allin with GG and The DK's with Jello

GG Allin, best concert? The only time and fastest I ever moved away from the stage, I give you that.

Hmmm, I am certain I typed in the Dead Kennedy's and Black Flag (with Keith Morris)....they must have been deleted in the editing somehow. The dilaudid is making it hard to concentrate on the details.

Okay so it wasn't the best.....maybe you could say it was the most moving performance you have seen?
