I considered using another term for that but: "'k breng mijnen harde mee" komt ni zo sympa over.
Eens kijken wat een virtuele-woordenomzetter-naar-andere-talen hier van maakt.

Some country stuff that's interesting. :-)
The Del McCoury band - Get down on your knees and pray. Wonderfull harmonies! Check their amazing one-mic-technique!! Old Skool baby!!

Speedy West and Jimmy Bryant (western swing. Listen to the pedal steel. It's crazy the way you have to play it. Using hands, feet, knees... Freaky stuff!!)
Unfortunately the only thing I could find...

I never really have ever found much in country music that really moves me... I don't hate it, just nothing in it that I love... Although there are some offshoots of country I do like more than others (bluegrass for one)...
I like a lot of the well known 50's rock artists... My personal favorite is Buddy Holly... He was truly an amazing talent... He broke down so many barriers... Had vision... I believe he would have embraced the changes of 60's music had he lived and may have made more of a contribution as a producer than a performer...
In my fantasy world he would have co-produced a follow up to Sgt. Peppers with The Beatles... Hmmmmmm, what would it have been called?????

Ok, guess this is the best thread to pop my question.
I just listened twice to the song "Get down on your knees and pray". First by the Dell McCoury Band (live on the All Star Bluegrass Celebration album) then by Bill Monroe.
Which version do you (to the people who know their country) prefer? Me personally, would almost always go for the original or older version. But in this case, Dell definitely wins. With ease. Only because of this, I'd like to know your opinion...

Got into trucking music lately...
Any recommendations besides Red Sovine, Dave Duddley and C.W.McCall?
Enjoy this while thinking about it:

There has to be a song about a trucker who's loaded with a dangerous something, and he loses his brakes in the mountains. A cop drives in front of him with sirens, to clear the road for this danger, with risk of own life! What a hero!! Until he finally gets stopped, and he just get's a ticket for speeding. ANYONE KNOWS THE TITLE??

Not sure WTF? Trucking music has to do with Fifties R&R.
The only trucking songs I can tolerate would be
Eastbound And Down - Smokey and the Bandit Theme
Bob Seger - Roll Me Away
Merle Haggard - White Line Fever
Glen Campbell - Truck Driving Man
Jimmy Martin - Widow Maker

The old trucking songs are mostly country... Check the artists I mentioned.
Songs such as Phantom 309, Six days on the road, Two more six-packs to go, ....
